Reflections of June (2)
A few weeks before I ran away from home I spent much time grieving for the things I knew I was losing. Scared to death of what was next. Trying to soak up as much beauty around me before it disappeared forever.
Roses in the Rain
I cut roses in the rain tonight,
it seemed where I belonged.
I was called to be a witness,
to know with my eyes, my breath, my body,
the heavens were weeping regardless of
the exquisite beauty that surrounded me.
The perfect irony, elation and despair,
dancing together each demanding center stage.
